Hey fellas. Got a HID kit for my driving lights that are h7. The problem is, this HID kit does not have that additional bracket that seems to appear in toyota models for the h7 bulb type. This bracket holds the bulb in place and then clips it into the housing so it doesnt move. The HID kit does not have this at all, and there is no way i can get this bracket onto the bulb at all.

Can anyway please help me out? I dont really want to refund this or keep my driving lights halogen when my fogs are HIDs

Thanks in advance fellas

I think I know what you mean. You are referring to how the spring clip that holds the original bulb and holder in place doesnt spring down far enough to hold the H7 HID's?

On my sister's Mazda 3, I used some washers to hold it in place. Luckily I had some laying around that were about the same overall diameter as the H7 base with a hole in the middle large enough for the HID centre piece to stick through. I used a couple on each lamp and it was enough to allow the spring clip to push against it to hold the lamp in place.

Just gotta think a bit creative.

Nuh its not a spring clip. its like a bracket. Heres that extra bracket circled in red with the stock bulb in place. Without this bracket the bulb wont stay in the housing and the bulb will just fall out.

did you sort it out?

Its too hard to tell in that photo but that bracket looks like one you find in bmw/euro cars. Can you pull it out and fit to the hid bulb? Search "h7 holder" on ebay.

Nuh i didnt sort it out unfortunately. Thanks for the ebay idea,

it kinda looks very similar to something like; http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2x-AUDI-nissan-Benz-H7-HID-XENON-BULB-HOLDER-ADAPTOR-_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem4aa1d91411QQitemZ320542938129QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories.

Now i see how this adapter would fit, i hope this works. I guess I might give it a shot anyway though. Thanks for that chicken
