Would i be able to fit Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres (225/50/17 or 225/45/17) to the OEM ZR6 alloy wheels, currently fitted with 215/55/17's?

225/50R17 is fine and 225/45R17 is too small. Your speedo will be even more inaccurate because of the smaller size compared to the stock size.
