Hi everyone,

Just hoping someone in Melbourne can recommend a mechanic to me. I need the timing belt changed on my 4A-GE (I've already got the timing belt kit, but both my flatmate and I decided it looked like a job best left to a mechanic) and also down the track I'd like someone I can take it to to get the cams changed, and maybe even get them to service it every so often.

Any responses would be very much appreciated.

I'm in the Eastern Suburbs, near Ringwood.

Thanks.

Thanks heaps!

When I say Campbellfield isn't too far, I mean compared to say Geelong, LOL

Obviously the closer to Mitcham the better, but I'm prepared to go further to places that other people would recommend.

since people are on this topic. Can someone suggest me a good suspension place in melbourne?

I've read that some people have had their springs installed for $100-200.

I've called up a few places and the lowest quote i've had is 240 with wheel alignment.

Most of the other places have been quoting $300+

I go to a registered mechanic in Springvalve (Joyce Street).

His name is Chin and contact number is 04 11 684 059.

Top bloke and knows what he is doing. Does not mess around and most importantly does not charge you over the roof. :)
