Hi all,

I have a 2008 Hilux SR5 Dual Cab diesel. I just got told today that the ECU needs replacing after a fault with the engine immobiliser. Replacement cost of $2400.00 parts alone. "They would try to get me a good price on the labour". Gee, thanks I think!

Has anyone heard of this before? I am amazed that a part like this could go so early?

I would appreciate your advice.

thanks

Newie

PS - I had a bad time getting service from the Service Centre guys and had to get the Service Manager to assist. Really frustrating!
