How to get rid of bug stains

Calamity

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, after driving on the highway the other day, many bugs were left on my windscreen and the front end of the vehicle, how do I remove these stains???? Without putting too much pressure on it whilst cleaning it...

Q1. How do you remove bugs from your windscreen / front end of your car after a long drive on the motorway/highway?

Q2. What are the preferred products to remove these nasty contaminants?

Q3. What products are best to clean head lights?

Thanks.

Car: Normal wash(2 bucket method) & rinse first, then Meguiars Bug and Tar remover. Gentle spot polishing with this product will clean all the nastiness.

Headlights: Wash only. Maybe maybe Meguiars "Plastx" polish if really needed, but bugs should just hose off (high pressure) and wash off.

Windscreen: Wash, AutoGlym Glass polish.

Im sure there are other brands out there you can use, but ive had great results from the above Meguiars products.

I must stress to remove all contaminants such as bugs as soon as possible.

I was in super cheap the other day and was not able to locate the Meguiars Bug and Tar remover. Might pop into another shop and see if they have it. Cheers.
