Hey guys I've got an issue with my Rav4 ZR6..

When going to start the engine it now takes longer to start. Normally as soon as you turn the

key to the start area within a second it would start. Now it'll take longer to start so meaning

you have to leave the key on the start position longer to get the engine running. It was fine last week

dunno what has happened to cause this. Has anyone had this issue? Does it go away or should I contact a Toyota Dealer?

Your help will be really appreciated guys :D:D:D

Check your battery voltage if you can. Have you been using the car while it's off such as audio system or using the lights around the cabin?

Yeah I had a suspicion it may be the battery.. Its a 2007 year model & now its 2011 so it may very well be the battery dying out slowly...

Umm I have used the audio system while the engine was off but not for long I'd say for around 2 or 3 minutes..

Since the battery is 4 years old it's most likely not holding the voltage that well anymore. Driving around should recharge it.

I went for a cruise on the motorway & it seems it has done the trick.. I drove for about 30km's started it the next day (today)

the car was starting normally. Hopefully the battery can last a bit longer before it needs replacement anyway... But cheers for your help man :D :D
