Should I get my rims off Ebay?

Recommended Posts

I've been looking for some stock sportivo rims for my car for a long time and finally found a set for $400 on ebay. Only prob is they end in 2 hours and I can't decide if I should or I shouldn't! Oh and they're in Qld and I'm in Canberra. Hmmm should I? Would the cost of freight make it not worth it... just cannot seem to find any nearby!

Would be worth it for looks alone. Im sure your aware a change in rim and their size will bring about a change in total diameter of tyre and rim.

So, this can result in speedo slightly out and sometimes some noise through the vehicle.

I did new rims but matched them with new tyres that matched total diameter - sweet.

Hey Nell. Good to see you're still alive and kicking!

Last time I saw your car it was still stock so it had the stivo rims. Did you swap with simos?

Anyways if its 400 with tyres then you should if that's what your chasing.

Hi andy! yep still alive n kicking :)

Yeh when simo sold his stivo we put my stockies on his car & put his white ones on mine. But now we realise we shoulda kept my stocks :( Specially since im driving with 3 white ones & 1 stock cos I "may" have damaged one somehow..hmmm

These ones on ebay come just the rims, will have to buy tyres on top of paying for shipping.. thats why I'm undecided still.

I did some quick calcs.. the sale price is nice but shipping & new tyres wont really make this a bargain anymore. Booo :(

Reeeeally need to find some in canberra or sydney so we dont have to ship. Prefereably with tyres too lol.

If anyone knows of some please point me in the right direction ;)
