Hi Guys,

I am looking a tarago in SA government auction. Everything is good condition except there is no service books.

This car is ex government car at low km.

My question is:

why does this car no service books? because as i know, government car did regular services. did they lose the service book?

Is it worth to take the risk to bid it?

Thanks in advanced

It's not uncommon for the service book and owners manual to be stored elsewhere when the vehicle is in use. When it comes time to send the vehicle to auction no-one could be bothered chasing up the books so they don't. Some of the time you don't even get the spare keys.

If it's low km and a Toyota though, should be a pretty safe bet.

Thanks playwme,

I have bought this car. The funny thing is after I drive it back to home. I found the service book in the corner of boot.
