My RPM's are very high between 1500 and 1800 at idle (in N or P gear) after the engine warm up. I can hear the engine is very loud, it sounds likes I have my foot constantly on the gas pedal.

While the car is moving if I take my foot up from the gas pedal, the car is not slowing down. It will stays at a constant speed and the RPM will only drop back to 1500 until I press the brake pedal to slow it down.

Does anyone else experience this problem?

I am planning to see the Toyota dealer to get this fix.

I'd be checking if the throttle is sticking, either at the pedal, the throttle body or the cable (assuming cable throttle on your car).

Problem fixed today by Toyota dealer.

Carbon build up inside the throttle body.

Once a while, I should use 98 premium unleaded fuel to prevent the carbon to build up again.

Spot on mate!
