If you have the cars handbook, you will find how to do it in there.

Hey i dont have a handbook or any history, since i bought it few months back.

The handbook only shows how to re sync the remote, if you got it from a toyota dealer they should do it for free.

otherwise i think it is turn the key on and off 3 times leaving on then push the button on the remote, pretty sure but don't quote me.

Sorry, my bad. The car owners manual only shows about turning the alarm chirp sound on and off when the alarm is turned on and off.

Last year I bought a new remote from Auto-electrician who also programmed it (took less then 10 secs) for $52. I had enquired with a Toyota Dealer, who wanted $55 for remote and a further $75 to program remote, and they needed the car for 2 hrs.

Procedure in Owners Manual is as follows:

Turn ignition switch to "ON"

Press Door lock, unlock button on remote.

Turn Ignition key to "LOCK" and remove key

Test operation of remote

If it still doesn't work, see you Toyota dealer.

Just replaced our remote(11 year old camry V6)$50 and the guy in "Parts" who sold it to us programmed it free of charge.Took him all of 60 sec'S...
