TECCWA is proud to announce a new Toyota car show for Western Australia - Toyotas in the Park. The first annual event will be held on Sunday September 11th, 2011 on The Esplanade Reserve(Alf Curlewis Gardens) in the Perth CBD between 9:00am till 3:00pm and is aimed at becoming the prominent Toyota orientated event in Western Australia.

Any person or club is welcome to attend the show with any Toyota bodied automobile including 4WD vehicles and is an opportunity to pull those long hidden Toyotas out of the garage at least once a year. Traders and businesses are welcome by prior negotiation, please contact enquiries@teccwa.com for further information.

We have confirmed our booking for The Esplanade Reserve opposite the Esplanade Train Station and The Bell Tower in the Perth CBD as our venue with the desire to attract both automotive enthusiasts as well as the passing public traffic. We have also finalised sponsorship arrangements and it is with thanks to Shannons Insurance, C-Red Tuning and Schultz Automotive that we offer the 2011 Toyotas in the Park as a free event for both entrants and spectators.

As for the actual cars we want to see on the day: everything! Old, new, projects, barn finds, time pieces, restored classics, competition cars, daily drivers, ect. and if you want to show it, we want you there. With the Perth City skyline as a backdrop, this is also a great photo opportunity for your vehicles too. A judging criteria has been finalised and includes original and modified classic, original and modified late model/modern, Entrant's Choice and Best in Show categories with some light hearted "Ratchet" Awards also being offered. Full judging details are available on the entry form.

Clint, on behalf of TECCWA.

THIS WEEK IS REGISTRATION WEEK!

We have approximately 30 registration forms thus far - I would love to triple that number by this time next week. Your pre entry helps us better plan for the day allowing us to produce a better show for you. Remember, you can pre register and not turn up on the day - we understand life happens and sometimes attending an event is beyond your control. Doing this will also give us contact details for you, for other events you may wish to consider attending.

Please go to the Toyotas in the Park Webpage and read the information contained. If you agree to the information, you can find a entry details here. For those of you not internet or computer savvy, please call me on 0403 733 054 for alternate entry arrangements.

More advertising for you to look out for and pass on to anyone interested:

We have an article in several local newspapers this week, please check your local community newspaper for an article that looks similar to this. Please save me a copy for future advertising and marketing endeavors too.

We are also featured on the City of Perth website here if you'd like a non "automotive forum" link to send around to all your friends in invitation to attend the day.

Our own club website is also up to date with car show information here with links and entry details also linked to that page.

Finally, we are also on Stalkbook, er Facebook! You can find show details here as well as club details linked to that page. Invite your friends, invite those people you only associate with on stalkbook, ..., hell - invite your stalkers too - you'll be in a public place and the polished chrome everywhere will dazzle your would be admirer!

We are going to do a print run of plate protectors for the show. These prints will be on thick gloss paper and available at $1ea for anyone interested - please contact me if you would like to be included in the print run on Friday.

For those of you requesting "plate protectors", please specify exactly how many you want - ie, you will need two if you wish to cover both front and rear plates!

For those of you interested, we currently have 73 entries to whom, I will be sending an email with directions and requests for the day shortly, and then listing that info everywhere else the show is advertised.

Please do not post any more entry forms - to ensure your entry is received in time, either email it to submissions@teccwa.com or deliver in person to the address on the entry form, and as always we will also accept your entry form on the day, but please let us know you're coming with a reply in any of the threads regarding the day on any forum?!
