I have a 2004 Camry Altise that I bought last February. Having a brand new car I expected that it will be free from any noise caused by the vibration of the interior or any part of the body. But in the last six weeks I noticed very annoying vibration noises that come from dashboard (left end of the dashboard) and from the back of the car.

For the noise from dashboard, I suspect that the glove box door and side vents contribute to the noise. Whenever I drive on a rough surface (even only a bit rough) I can hear the noise. It might be trivial but it is annoying especially when the car is only 6 months old.

The noise from the back is a bit unclear. This noise usually is heard because of the vibration of the engine (when the car starts moving from stationer position). I suspect it is from the rear bumper but I can't find anything loose that might be the source of the noise.

1. Any thought on how to locate the noise and how to solve it?

2. Is there anyway to reduce road noise in Camry Altise?

Thanks for your input.

you might want to take it back to toyota and ask them what's wrong.

there might be something loose inside the dashboard

Maybe the spare tyre at the back doesnt sit properly?

yeah i have a similar noise in my car...

i have narrowed it down to the radio panel...it is just sitting a bit loose

i havent gotten around to fixing it yet

i also get a noise coming from the glovebox side

it is actually the stuff inside your globebox that is rattling around, so just move them around accordingly and it should be right B)
