Hi,

I have been searching for info about my car to find out if it's really what the label says or if someone has rebadged it for entertainment. I won't be worried either way as apart from having a cracked top tank on the radiator right now, it runs fine.

Its labelled as a 1997 Toyota Caldina GT4 TRD version. It's definitely the 97 shape but I wouldn't know how to figure out if it is a GT4 TRD or just a GT-T which most others are. It has the GT4 and TRD badges on it and they don't look roughly stuck on but then someone could have just done a neat job on it. I do know both the radiator and the auto trans are not like other caldina's as the garage told me so when they ramped up my bill.

Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Fairly sure Toyota didn't start badgind Caldinas as GT4/GT-FOUR until the ST246 in 2002-ish, so I'm guessing it's a GT-T (which is essentially the same running gear as a GT4 Celica) that someone has put badges on. For all I know it could be a TRD version, but the GT4 badge at least is out of place.
