Hey guys I am new here and have done a google search to try and see if this is a common problem but to no avail.

What's happening is that the drivers side headlight used to not work. Occasionally if you tapped on the lens it would come on but then turn off after about 10 mins. Took it to Toyota the we're baffled by why it wouldn't work but it seemed to work itself out a few weeks later. But now it's swapped sides to the passenger side with the exact same problem??? But they still have no idea.

And that was all that was wrong over summer. But now it has began to get cold and with the first frost we had last week I came out in the morning to find the tail lights on? Keys were out of the ignition light off at the stalk but car unlocked. And since then the passenger side tail light has not worked but brake light still does?

This has me completely baffled. I was thinking it could be a bad earth or potentially bent pin/damaged wire in the trailer plug...

Please help me!!! It's killing me!!!!!

Thanks heaps, Ben.

Sorry no idea what it could be. Has the car been through much water, you might have a bit of moisture in some of the electrics causing a fault. Have you tried taking it to an auto electrician, they should be able to narrow it down to what it might be, all those things might be on the same circuit which will make it easier to find.

Nope no water car inst an off roader. No built up water in tail lights or headlights either. Auto electrician has looked at it previously before the tail light problem and fixed it but then that was when the problem switched sides from driver to passenger. So I'm completely stuck.
