very heavy clutch on my ZR levin

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, tried to search for similar posts but failed.

I have a 2008 Levin ZR. the clutch just seems ridiculously heavy to push in. it just seems too tight and mushy.. like I'm trying force my way down?

I have pretty strong legs from football and even then i think this is way to much for a clutch and i can see why some people who have driven it have stalled it and made jokes about doing weights before they can manage that clutch. since then it has been playing on my mind and i am really using a bit of force to use it.

it bounces back pretty quick.. but it really doesn't feel right.

is there something i can check? i don't know if the levins are known for having such a heavy clutch. i am the second owner and am unsure if the clutch has been replaced.

Is the clutch aftermarket or has anyone (i.e. mechanics) touched it? If not, best to go to Toyota and advise them of your situation.

Either that ^ or somethings happened to your clutch pedal assembly ? Bent or anything ? Maybe the seals in your master cyl has stuffed up and hard to press (unlikely tho) ditto with slave cyl, & or something stuffed up in your clutch assembly

Ps I pretty much said everything in thr system haha
