Corolla Ascent 2006 1ZZ-FE PROBLEMS/OPINIONS

Hi Guys,

I've developed a strange rubbing noise from the front left suspension. Whenever I go down from a curb on my driveway, or at slow speed encounter a speed hump, I hear a strange noise from the left front. It's not metalic in sound more like something rubbing, even maybe a crunch??? I want to have a look at it myself, does anyone have any technical diagrams, so I can take a look myself. And today was my first day with my new car as a learner, I got my lovely 2006 Rolla a week ago from a family member. Also does anyone find that the driver's seat doesnt go low enough, I keep catching my leg on the wheel when I step of the gas and onto the brake.

Mike.. U a big fella to hit the steering wheel? I have no problem in my rolla..

Also check to see if the inner plastic guard isn't rubbing against ur wheel.. If its rubbing do visual checks

Adjust the steering wheel upwards to give more leg clearance and/or push your seat back even further.
