Hello,

I'm considering to buy an Estima emina, which is a tummy-tucked Tarago grey import.

The Estima comes with the same 2.4 litre petrol engine as the Tarago or with a 2.2 litre diesel. The diesel is claimed to do about 10-11 km/l but I don't know how this compares to the petrol. what sort of milage do you get from your petrol Tarago?

Also how popular is the Estima? Is the diesel engine easy to get parts for?

I feel the estima offers a pretty good package over the Tarago, lower kms (compared to similar aged Taragos), more features, and better price than the Tarago. The model I'm considering is 4WD too which would be handy for weekend camping trips!

Generally what's the reputation of the Estima? Are they easy to sell later on?

Thanks

My old 95' tarago was a 2.4L? it did about 400-450Kms average.

Why not go for the turbo disel version? More torque is alot handier! You'd get more milage but not good speeds with the D.

You'll find it very sluggish to get to 120kms from 100kms it would take upto 10 seconds to gain another 5-10kms on highway speeds so over taking is a no no.

I'd admit the estima looks alot nicer and THE MR layout abosoutely awesome! Have you test driven on yet? They drive like go karts even for a big fatty like the tarago is!
