oil change before or after track day

As stated in the title i want to budget my track day and have one 5L bottle of Motul 8100 5w40

should i do the oil change before or after the track day

i change my oils every 5000kms generally

Best would be to change before and after. But since you are doing it on a budget... If you have an oil cooler on the engine, as long as your engine oil is topped up it should be ok, i would change it after. If you dont have a cooler, do it before.

Gearbox oil is the main one which i would change before and after (and every 10,000km) Not many people do this and reduces the longevity of your box, especially if you like to drive it hard!

+1 to before and after, recommended by my workshop, i generally just change it to some cheapishy synthetic like castrol magnatec, have my fun on the track and return it back to royal purple.

Do an oil analysis on your engine oil after the events. You'll probably find you are pouring money away changing it before and after.

It depends on how long between track days. Like Dave said above, have a check before and after. If you're tracking quite regularly, changing it after should be suffice.
