I have searched the web to see how to replace auto shifter light bulb but I can’t find any complete video or images for this job.

Anyway, I have managed to grasp some basic knowledge from the internet and have attempted to try this out by myself.

Fingers crossed, I did it and thought here is the best place to share this information with you guys.

Part and Tools require:

1. T5/194 bulb

2. Phillips screwdriver

3. Plastic Trim tool or flat screwdriver

4. 10mm socket

5. Socket extension (optional for screws inside the compartment storage)

Here are the few steps require:

1. Detach the auto shift bezel, using a plastic trim tool or flat screwdriver then disconnect the power source connector.

2. Remove the rear console together with the armrest in one piece.

You need to remove two mounting 10mm screws inside the rear storage compartment and four screws securing the front portion of the console. (pictures attached)

3. Now you should have the full access to the auto shift light bulb to do the job. (pictures attached)

I hope this will help any Corolla owners to replace or upgrade their auto shift light.
