1988 HELP

Hi, i have a 1988 camry stationwagon. I helped to jump start a friend car yesterday and as his started my revs dropped even tho i was giving it acceleration and then it stopped, and now it wont start. I turns over and the battery is new. I dont know what has happened and i need my car for work.

hmm.... im not sure whats wrong with your car. But how did you jump start the car??? was it with those portable jumpstarter? or u use those cable jumper (from your car to his car)?

what you did to jumpstart someone else seems to be correct.

however that model Camry is notorious for getting killed when jump starting someone else i believe

cause i remember my dad had a 1990 Camry a long time ago, he gave a jump start to someone else, and it started them, but it burnt out the ECU and stuff in his car :o

and according to where we got it fixed, they said all Camrys of that model were like that during jump starting...and they said, dont do it again
