Remove sportivo stock seat rails?

so i got some cheap bucket seats for my car and wanna know if its possible for me to use the stock rails?

nope. u have to get rails that are ADR approved to bolt them in. unless u get those stock rails welded on and engineering certified etc.

Bride sell rails for the e12 chassis, they don't cost all that much from memory (about $3-400 delivered). It's obviously more expensive than the usual solution of bolting the side mounts to the floor (about $100). But not sure what would keep an automotive engineer happy in regards to reinforcement on the floor. Discuss it with an engineer first.

ahhh ok. thats lame. the bucket seats were 150 for 2. autotechnica or something like that i reakon ill just sell em. not worth the effort on these then

i've got replica recaro that had custom rails welded on to fits straight into a sportivo. would that mean i'll have to get a engineering certified???

I can't speak for NSW, but I know in QLD you need the seat rails engineered and the seatbelt modification engineered.

The seatbelt is attached to the factory rail and needs to be attached to the new mount.
