205KW WHEN USING PREMIUM UNLEADED.

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone, I was reading a motoring colume in a old newspaper, and it said when you use 95 premium unleaded in the aurion, the power goes up from 201kw to 205kw.

So does the same apply to the kluger or even the v6 RAV4 or tarago, they all have the same 3.5v6 engine, so it be the same.

I know when I use premium unleaded , the car feels more liverly , so whether not its got the extra 4 killerwasps or not I dont know, so thought I ask you guys.

Truth or not, a 4kw increase is more marketing than something that can actually be experienced.

It would simply be a placebo effect, you'd need at least 10kw to start to feel any real world difference.

When I use 95 in my 2004 corolla it has noticeably more torque than 91.

I have also tried 98 , but can't notice any improvement over 95.

I only use 98 in the celica.

The two camrys only get cheap unleaded because they are for A-B transport .

I use 98 , bp ultimate in the kluger, I have tried 95, but couldnt really couldnt see much of a difference over 91, but my old prado ran better on 95 it gave the best power and economy for the price and yeah I couldnt see any difference over 98, I not sure if the you get another 4kw when using premium, the only way is to put it on dyno, and whether that small of increase would read up , I dont know, I only asked the question to see if any of you guys have heard whether or not if its true or not.

Assuming the ECU can back it up....I wouldn't be surprised if it applied to all 2GRs, but at the same time I also wouldn't be surprised if it didn't for some models (ie Tarago, Rav4 etc)
