Hi all, just wondering if anyone else has had similar issues.

A couple of times the car really hasn't wanted to start, now instead of starting straight away, takes a few seconds before it kicks in. Has gotten to the stage when I wonder how I'll be getting home.

On a 12 month old car there should be no worries with the battery.

Cheers

It's still worth checking the battery though! Plus any connections or even the alternator.. Auto electrician should be able to check it out for you.

Have you spent a lot of time in the car with only the radio and headlights on? Do you have plenty of electronic gadgets (amp/ subwoofers/ GPS/ DVD etc..) that may drain your battery sooner than expected

Not exactly, you can destroy a battery is less than half that time

It all depends on how you treat the battery

Like someone already mentioned, leaving the ignition on or lights on all drains power from the battery when the engine isn't running

You run your battery flat once and it'll never be the same

Most hard to start problems generally end up being a bad battery, so its always the best place to check first
