Being unable to make maximum use of the original radio/tv/gps unit, I am wondering what is available out there, in the market place.

Does anyone have any advice or recommendations?

There's the Chinese Factory-style head unit, though those are a hit or miss.

Kenwood also makes a 2DIN Wide Headunit for Toyotas (DDX630WBT), It's GPS ready which means a navi box will be required (Kenwood has the KNA-G630AU,basically a rebadged Garmin GVN54 Navi Box. Plug & Play, no Touch Screen Interface required.). Saw it on ebay, from a Western Australian seller for $630, excluding the Navi Box.

The options below retain the existing factory unit, using an external device.

FM Modulator box (ROW Radio Frequencies.) with English Interface, SD card slot, USB & Aux ports..
