Extended slave cylinder rod??

Recommended Posts

On my 86 Toyota Hilux a mechanic here in California wants to use an extended slave cylinder rod for disengagement issues.Has anyone had any long term success with the longer rod or is it just a temporary bandaid fix that will cause more problems?

This is a problem on many cars. Im not too sure why they do this from factory, seems stupid. I know alot of the 2ZZ guys do this mod, im not sure how much of a difference it makes. I would like to know as well
