Hi all, I need a little help/ advise if available, I have bought a 70s FJ40 with the 2F motor in it, Im not a huge fan of petrol motors in my 4x4s and want to swap the engine out for one of either 1HD 1HZJ or 1HDFTE motors with their respective gear boxes to do that is fine i know what is involved with changing the motor (Im a toyota trained Mechanic, Pro Tech level) only thing i have an issue with is whether the axel length on the FJ is shorter than that of a 70 series ute, has anyone done that kind of swap or knows if it will be a problem?

cheers in advance.
