Does anyone know if you can put a diff head from a 2005 or newer hilux into a G series diff housing without much hassle??

I have a 1985 Lux with a V6 conversion and I want to bring the revs down at 100kph as its revving it's nuts off at the moment at 100.

My diff code is G282 4.3:1 ratio non lsd

the retaining studs may be different lengths but apart from that it will fit. mixed and matched a lot of hilux diffs at my old workplace. there is a 3.7 ratio available, if you want a noticeable difference in freeway revs i would go for this ratio
