Hey guys

My name's Warwick form Auckland NZ

I've just purchased a 2004 Corolla RunX Z TRD Sports M with tiptronic transmission.

I've been a member of ACNZ (Altezza club of Australia & NZ) for a while now, have owned a kouki & zenki RS200 Altezza (among other Toyota's over the years) and have decided to part ways with my '02 Tez and give the RunX a go.

Looking at giving it a fresh oil change shortly and have had mixed info on whether I should be using 5W-30 or 10W-30. Always ran the Tez's 3S-GE on 5W-30 and figure they are pretty similar high compression engines so should stick with that?

Any input would be primo...also would be great to hear from anyone else with a TRD Sports M or knowledge on them.

Cheers guys :P

Great, thanks for the feedback guys. Temperatures here in Auckland will range from 2 deg C to around 30 deg C. Will the 5W-30 be ok to use throughout that temperature range?
