Hi

I was in the back of the Hiace Van getting some parts - it was freezing outside so I shut the sliding door.

But later I couldn't open it - had to call out to a passerby to let me out.

I assume you are supposed to be able to open the sliding door from the inside.

So where is the most likely place for the problem - the sliding door locks and opens from the outside fine

The inside handle doesn't seem loose

Could it be an electrical problem - I say this as if you lock the sliding door with the key the van does not centrally lock, but if you lock the front doors with the key it does. I have previosuly had some electrical problems - or do you think its a broken cable connecting the inside door handle?

Thanks

Matt

Checked the child lock? If activated, it basically allows the door to be opened from the outside but not the inside of the car.
