HI guys, i have a 2006 CV rav 4 with 74k and with a shocking fuel economy of 14L/100k. I was wondering whether anyone has ever converted their petrol rav 4 into LPG in Victoria, if so how much did it cost. And also how much are you saving from doing this, and whether there are high service cost with the gas conversion. thanks.

I don't know anyone who has done a RAV, but I do with other makes. They make a really big difference in fuel economy, especially with how cheap the fuel is. Can't help with price though, but I'd recommend it through word of mouth.

14L/100K appear to be unusual, is it suburb or highway driving ? I'd say give your car a good service first.

I have had LPG conversion in my Pardo, overall the net saving I wasn't impressed. Problem was gas usage going up graduately, I brought it back to the installer, he said it was due to dirty gas in some service station. They key to success about LPG conversion is a good installation, so google or search for an installer who has really good reputation.

Having said that I have never heard anyone done LPG conversion to a RAV4, it isn't a bad fuel economy car to start with.

I can't speak for later models but I had a 1998 that was converted to LPG. Ran a treat.

Did you get the RAV 4 converted to LPG?

I'm curious to know how it all went for you fuel economy wise if you did because I'm considering going down the same path for my 2012 GSU40R KX-S Kluger wagon for exactly the same reason of a shocking fuel economy of 14 - 15L/100 KMS city driving.
