Hi guys,

If someone could help shed some light on this issue I'd be extremely grateful...

My auto-transmission 1993 80 series GXL 4.2 TD has just started behaving a little odd. Symtoms are:

1. When you put your foot to the floor it no lock kicks down a gear;

2. It seems to be changing gear at higher revs (now about 2,100rpm) even when being driven slowly;

3. It's idle speed sometimes drops to 200 rpm instead of the usual 900rpm. This on occasion makes it stall and I'm forced to put it into neautral and keep the revs up when I'm stopped at lights.

I've also just had it back from the garage as they replaced a seal on the diesel pump. ...is there something they might've done to cause this problem?

Many thanks for your comments.

Toby
