Rav4 2013 mould smell coming from A/C

[Rav4 2013 A/C smell]

I purchased a 2013 Rav4 in September 2013 and about a month later, noticed a mouldy "wet towel" offensive smell coming from the vents with and without the air conditioning on. A couple of trips to the dealer but no fix. Suggested we spray a disinfectant spray into the vents which we have done four times but this doesn't seem totake the smell away, it just mixes with it. Dealer has carried out some checks themselves but no answers. We have replaced the air conditioning filter behind glove box four times and this hasn't made a difference either.

I have read some posts that drivers have experienced the same problem in Klugers and Prados.

Has anyone else noticed a mouldy smell coming from their interior vents in a Rav4?

take a look under your car where the connection between exhaust pipe ( may leak from there and get in the vents.

Put the heater on max and blast the air out of it for a while. That might remove any smells. Ideally do this with windows down and a cold outside temp.
