Fuel warning beep - 2011 KS-X

I have owned a 2011 KS-X since February this year. I am fairly certain (100%) that I received an audible warning when the distance to empty hit 80 kms and again at 40 kms to go, the audible warning would also sound when starting the vehicle if the distance to empty was less than 80 kms. A few weeks ago I noticed that the fuel light had come on and that the audible warning had ceased to function. The vehicle was in for a service today and I requsted that they fix the non functioning alarm. On collection of the vehicle I was advised that " the vehicle only has a low fuel warning light - no beeper, refer to owners manual "

Can any one out there confirm if their vehicle gives an audible alarm in low fuel situations.

Many thanks,

Tony

are you sure this wasn't the traction control beeping? were you cornering, was it wet or slippery?

The was happening when stationary in the garage and each time I started the engine if the distance to empty reading was less than 80kms,

Hi, yes! I have a 2015 kluger grande and the exact same has happened to me included asking them to fix it. The problem I have is that the fuel light comes on when you only have 25klm to go so it’s super inconvenient

I have a 2012 Kluger and only get the warning light when tank gets low, no beep sound.
Warning sounds may be nice but if you miss hearing it then it could mean some walking and a lot of hassle.
Easy enough to keep an eye on the fuel gauge anyway and fill when it hits 1/4 full.
