rear speaker connecter for starlet

Where exactly, precisely is the rear speaker connection for a 97 toyota starlet? I tried looking and feeling around the jack on the drivers side, but could not find the connection. Grrrr, its driving me nuts. If it is next to the rear right passenger seat, how does one remove the panelling apart from the 1 metal screw and two plastic screws in the back area?

Help

I think you'll find that the connection is only there on models which have the rear speakers fitted.

If you have a look in the boot of a 96-97 Style or Group X, or a 98-99 5-door Life, you'll see the rear speaker connection simply hanging through a gap in the trim.

For the other models, I'm pretty sure you'll need to run wiring to fit rear speakers, as they only had 2 speakers in the dash.
