Our Camry blew something in the engine near the end of an 800 kilometre trip. I want to remove the engine and replace it with another engine from a donor car. The replacement engine is in very good order, both cars being automatics. My question is, which way would be the easiest methop of the following ways. 1. Release the engine from the auto and lift it out of the vehicle. 2. Lift both the engine and auto out as one. 3 release engine and drop out of vehicle 4 drop both engine and auto out the bottom. I have a two post hoist and a forklift with extension arms so any method would present no problems. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Keith

Drop it out the bottom on the subframe. That's how were installed in the factory.

Hi Trent, Thank you for your advice. I half hoped that would be the best way. Just had a squizz at your Camry, WOW.! Super job, I aspire to own one of those myself. Have a great Christmas. Keith.
