Hi. Ken from Albury. I have a 2000 3.0d dual cab and like many othe the speedo is out by 8-10 km at 110kmph. It seems to have a mechanical speedo as there is a cable going thru the firewall close to the drivers side door. Can anyone tell me if this is correct and is a mechanical speedo cable and if so what is the best way to correct the speedo. So far i use a tomtom but would like to fix it properly. Thnx

This is correct. Manufacturers do it so you can't blame them for speeding fines.

Larger tyres would be your best bet. Use an online tyre calculator to determine what you need.
