Coilovers

Hey Guys,

Just wanted to get an idea from the guys who have coilovers, whether its worth it? What i want to know is how is the handling improved and what is the ride quality like?

Cheers

I bought my Tivo Drummond Motor Sport Coilovers and while they were

getting installed I also fitted it with TRD front and rear strutt braces.

My friend, with all honesty I have never driven anything like it.

It stiks to the road like baby **** to a blanket!

DMS are a little more dearer then most others, I'd never go back to normal setup

unless I sell her ;)

I hope this helps you with your search to the perfect ride!

Kindest regards..............

Ok guys so we have answered the question of the coilovers, but what is the alternative? Are their any other shocks which are suitable for use with a lowered spring other the Koni's?

bilstein and eibach :)

What about monroe shocks are they any good with King Low Springs?

It all depends on how you drive, if you like maximum performance I

recomened coilovers.

Depending on which ones you get most of them have alot of adjustment,

so you can adjust to suit your driving.

With 40 mm DMS you have 30 different adjustments, but as I posted earlier

they are $3000 without instalation all depends on your budget.

If I were you I'd save up for coilovers, you won't regret it!

But don't forget, you also need a good set of rubber to get maximum performance

mines riding on 225/40/18 Pirreli P7's.

Kind regards.............

I went down this road before, but ultimetly I decided to get get a regular spring and and adjustable shock combo, with front and rear sway bars and front strut brace. I imagine it wont handle as good as a set of coilovers, but i'm sure its not that far off especially for street driving.

Basically the only advantage that I saw was the fact you could adjust the ride height, which I probably would leave at the same ride at maybe 35mm low.

But you never know, maybe coilovers will suit you. I mean I was told not to get 18's cuz of ride quality, but I still got 18 inch wheels with 35 profile rubber and I think its a pretty comfy ride.

Are you talking about Koni Adjustables shocks? Or are you using something else?

He means u'll feel every bump in the road and some more....the car will be very stiff and bumpy on the street but probably perfect for the track where the road is perfectly smooth....

If you've driven on real bad quality road where ur car bumps up and down..d2 will feel like that on normal roads and probably worse...

they come in very high spring rates. they even have a "track" rate u can specify. if i'm not mistaken, it's like more than 10kg/mm for the fronts.
