Hi folks, I am reasonably new here, just wondering if anyone may have a suggestion on where i can start looking. My Toyota Vienta v6 (1996) , develops a mechanical noise above 40 km/ph , oroginally thought it to be the tyres, changed to quiet michilains run on the new camry, took it to the mechanic, he found both front wheel bearings to be nackered, changed those, noise still persisits. The mechanic thinks it is the tyres, which i have my doubts about, he did say there was a low noise comming from the transfer case, however he doubts that would be it. I welcome suggestions. I would also like suggestions on mechanics in melbourne that are good with these cars.

Cheers

Andrew

Have the driveshafts or right side driveshaft carrier bearing been checked at all?
