Hey all

Recently got myself a 1985 Toyota Hilux YN57 and when the car is idling with the lights on, it does a intermittent flash..someone had said check the voltage regulator.

The alternator has been fixed up but I did a search on Ebay and found that a voltage regulator looks like one of these one in the photo I have attached.

Does that sound about right?

Not sure if this would have anything to do with it but say with no lights on, I have left or right indicator going and the battery light flickers at the same time with the indicator but if I put my foot on the brake or turn the lights on, it doesnt do it and i could run high beams, lights, brake lights, indicator and the battery light doesnt come on.

Bit late, but go to the wreckers and get your self a sealed electronic version ( Need one from a Toyota so it is a Plug and Play ) then get your original one and toss it straight in the bin, Problem Solved:tongue:
