Hi all,

My name is Dave and I'm new to the forum. As of yesterday I am now the proud owner of a 2010 GXL Land Cruiser and she's an absolute cracker! I'd like to ask what could possibly be the first of many silly (to some) questions. I was wondering if the standard GXL roof console had any spare 12v wiring in it. I was working on the theory that perhaps the harness going to the console may be the same as the Sahara or VX and therefore have unused connections just sitting in there since this is only the GXL? The reason I ask is that I've just bought a neat little dash cam that mounts to the windscreen but behind the rearview mirror and rather than run wiring down to the dash I thought it might be feasible to just hook into the console if there was spare 12v available in there.

Thought I'd ask you guys before I break out the screwdrivers........

Kind regards,

Dave
