Grinding noise when on full lock both left and right, my Yaris 4 door manual 2010 Model has always had regular services -- always at the dealer --and has always been looked after only noticed this the other day in a tight parking spot.         Thanks for any help

It is best to stay off full lock as much as possible. The pump and the pressure relief valves will thank you for it.

Get it to a steering specialist and have them have a look at it. The pump may be on its way out.

Thank you Trentmeyer,

yes I agree and it was just the other day when I had no choice in a tight park -- I have tried this at home and am not getting it here so thought it MIGHT have been the surface I was on which was a very polished cement ,  so I went back there and sure enough it happened again -- so I think it must have been surface slipping?   What do you think?
