I decided to get a set of these as Phil Gilbert Toyota had a nice discount on them.

I did look on ebay for some cheaper alternatives, but thought, bugger it. Better stick to original as the fitment should be superior and better quality.

1st impression of them was excellent. It is a nicely made item. The instructions to fit are a little dubious though, hence my asking.

Anyone had a go at fitting these before I attempt myself ?

Step 1 in the install instructions, It says to lower the door glass. Ok. Makes sense.

Then it goes on to say Remove Frt & RR Door Glass Run from Door Panel shown in figure 1.1 and 1.2.

What the hell do they mean exactly ?? Remove the window channel rubber ??

It shouldn't be complicated right ?

I believe it refers to the rubber seals around the bottom of the window that keep the weather out when closed

If they're anything like the older Toyota weathershields then there will be little clips  that go between the window frame and the bailey channel (the double-lipped rubber strip that seal the top and sides of the window when it is fully up.  You might be able to pop them in with the rubber still in place but probably easier if it was removed.
