My 2011 Camry Hybrid done 385000 k's and is a taxi, goes into limp mode if we go over 90kph!

Toyota dealer has quoted nearly $9000.00 to replace the gear box. (more than the car is worth).

Error codes after "Check Hybrid " light comes on point to the gearbox, say Toyota, but lately they point to the DC converter.

We swapped the converter with another second one, but to no avail.

We have changed the gear box oil twice in three weeks, using genuine Toyota oil!

I can repleace the gear box  with a second hand one for about $3500.00 all up, but even that is getting close to what the car is worth. Any other suggestions?

Has the transmission filter ever been changed?

If not, I would not be surprised if it is blocked after all this driving time and restricting the flow of transmission fluid.
