G'day all

Hi all,

Newbie here. Just recently bought a 2007 manual Camry Sportivo after relegating the previous '97 Camry to the farm as its new hack.

The old one has been faithful so far, having 320k on it and still happy to do the rounds. Alas, the crank seal is starting to go in it (some idiot with my initials didn't do it at the same time as the recent timing belt) and I didn't have the heart or motivation to get to it just for that.

A bit sad, but the current hack ('95 Apollo) shares the same engine and we're looking at dropping it in as a direct replacement. (Any potential issues with this? As usual, we probably won't know until halfway through the conversion....) It'll have 100k less on it and should be good to go for a while longer yet.

The new one? At 10 years new and with 140k on it, it's the freshest car I've ever bought and I'm looking forward to keeping it for some time yet. Very interested to see how far it will go, looked after properly.

Joined up to see if there's any tips and tricks I can learn off everyone to keep the car in good nick and potentially make it more of a pleasure to drive. Looking forward to getting to know you.

Cheers,

Fritterburner

Good starting point is to start perusing the Latest Posts and browse through a Thread from the initial post to present. Copy and paste worthwhile comments and the URL into a Word document or excel spreadsheet for future reference/consideration.
