Aust first triple organ recipient (and modder) dies

AUSTRALIA'S first triple organ transplant recipient has died in Brisbane.

Cystic fibrosis sufferer Jason Grey, 28, died today at the Prince Charles Hospital in Brisbane, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Mr Grey underwent a heart, double lung, and liver transplant in August 2003.

The hospital spokeswoman said he died as a result of complications with his lungs.

Mr Grey moved to Brisbane from Sydney with his mother Debbie in 2001 to await a donor.

"Jason didn't have a life before the transplant," Mrs Grey said at the time of his operation.

"He couldn't go anywhere or do anything."

i had talked to Jason on quite a few cruises back when i had my Lancer. The most helpful guy, always willing to lend a hand, give advice and never complained. You would never of picked him as being sick, he was always happy and up-beat.

I think a cruise is being organised for next weekend. I am sure it will be open invite, as long as everyone is on there best behaviour. I will post info as i find out, for those who wish to attend
