Car doesn’t start all the time, when I tap the starter motor while turning the key it starts, it’s not the starter motor or solenoid as I tested to see if the starter spun while off the engine. Didn’t have any troubles. Both solenoid terminals and cables are getting power which I’ve tested with a test light. I’ve also replaced the relay and cleaned all the contacts. I’m wondering if it’s a grounding issue but not sure any help would be appreciated

Could be a grounding issue. Just from reading some internet posts, I would be checking for any loose wires/poor connections.

Something else to check is the battery cables especially both ends of the ground cable.
