Brake pedal going hard after 3 pumps and brake light coming on

Hi everyone I'm new.

I own a 2003 ln172 diesel same as ln167 just extra cab and am having brake problems. After 3 pumps of the pedal brakes go hard and handbrake light comes on. If I hold my foot on brake when it's hard it will slowly sink back down to normal.

I have replaced booster and vac pump. Problem started after I went threw mud and water and busted the alternator so I changed it now I have this problem after changing alternator Cheers in advance.

Go to Power Brakes in Adelaide  ,Master cyl around $150 freight very cheap and quick  good mob

Just got one from bursons in Darwin that's where I live will be fitting it tomorrow arvo cheers.

Not the master just put one in and bleed the system is their any thing else it could be iv basically done the whole brake system

Did you bleed the cyl on the bench before fitting

Yeah mate did a bench bleed it's not spongy or going to the floor it's working for 2 presses then going hard

All good was a washer on the vac pump

its just air in the brake lines, do they loosen up once you start moving?
