I was waiting for the 3000kg screw and pin ones to go on special. What excellent value !!

Yes, too good to pass up. I already have 2 pairs of the ratchet type with a lower load limit.

I have just placed an online order and will think about whether to also get these pin type ones.

Trade Tools are having a special on Torque Wrenches. Most of their stores are in QLD but online orders are available.

Those torque wrenches are really cheap. Are they any good though ?

I have been going to Trade Tools for more than 10 years for their weekly specials. Certainly good enough for regular DIY and for me to post.

If they were the Force brand which has a lifetime warranty then I would not hesitate to highly recommend them and would be buying the 3/8"torque wrench.

Seeing that I know you might be looking for a shorter torque wrench, consider this alternative which includes shipping.

Speaking of Torque Wrenches, I recently purchased this digital luggage scale so I can carry out a calibration of my torque wrench and every subsequent one I intend purchasing.

Pro calibration services are way too expensive and this torque wrench, I bought around 25 years ago for around $50. It has served me well and I'd love to see how far out of calibration it actually is.

I'll let you all know how I go.

Ok Gents. So that juicy little nugget I have brought home. I was always wanting a decent tool chest and just the other day I happen to come across these on sale https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/sca-sca-tool-cabinet-combo-6-drawer-36-inch/385729.html and I picked it up not that long ago, including my 2 pairs of axle stands https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/sca-sca-car-stands-screw-and-pin-3000kg/568659.html

There was some assembly required, nothing major. Also gave it a wipe over with Isopropyl alcohol before lavishing the new shiny red powder coated paint with Turtle Wax Seal 'N' Shine. Sorry, My OCD kicking in again

It's a product I reserve for items like this. Did my Kranzle pressure washer and my Bosch Front loader when they were first purchased. Just puts a nice thin layer of protection on the surface so it will resist accidental contamination. Easier to keep clean too.

Now I have somewhere to put my socket sets, torque wrenches and every other tool I have in one place. My garage needs a total overhaul !!

 How did you guess ?? I cannot stand greasy, grimy tools. I even try my best not to scratch my prized tools. After each use, I do wipe them and place them back in their respective spots. I like being organised and try my best to work as tidy as possible.

Thanks for the compliment Robert
