Rav 2014 cruiser, Phone with red line through it on head unit screen. No bluetooth options

Hey

I have a rav4 cruiser 2014. Bluetooth worked. Next day bluetooth didnt work(bluetooth options gone from multi media screen). An icon with a mobile phone and a red line through it is constantly at top of media screen and no bluetooth options and cant connect any phones.

I have tried holding down apps button turning the lights on and off 3 times, initiating personalised data from service screen but that fix has not worked?

Any ideas?

Thanks

All I could suggest is to do a power reset and see if this cures the issue. Disconnect the battery and wait half an hour or so and reconnect and see what happens.

If the issue persists then I'd say the head unit is faulty. You can find plenty of these on ebay.

Hi, were you able to fix this??  I had my battery replaced and I now have the same problem.  I have done the 3 x headlight INIT restart multiple times, but it didn't fix the issue either.

thanks!!

I don't understand how a simple battery swap can corrupt the head unit. Car makers know it's inevitable that the battery will need replacing, so I can't see how one thing has to do with another. Very strange indeed. Probably best to ask someone from Toyota tech support and see what they're experiencing because this shouldn't happen.

I've replaced a battery in my Aurion and my head unit still functions as it did beforehand.

I've never had my phone paired with the RAV but driving 2 days ago the car made a different noise and the cellphone icon with the red line through it showed up. Nothing is listed in the manual about it either.
