Hi, has anyone upgraded a head unit on one of these Camry's?

I got quoted $350+ just to update the maps since it has to be connected to a Toyota computer to get the license key after inserting the upgrade DVD for the 2012 model.

For that price i'm better off buying a new unit that won't cost me a fortune every time i want to update the maps

Hi Paul, Not done an upgrade from that model but I agree you are better off upgrading the whole unit I would suggest contacting a good car audio dealer example would be Monster Audio and get a few ideas from them. In the end getting a top quality unit will solve the maps issue and also give you a quality sound etc
